Course Overview Our objective is to enhance the students’ ability to write, read, and think critically when exposed to various forms of literature and media. In addition, students will be prepared for this school year’s exit level exams.

Course Materials The following will be required for the class: 1 two-pocket folder 1 composition book 2 pens or pencils to be brought to class daily
Homework Policy All homework will be due on the given day of completion. Any late work will be subject to a loss of one letter grade per day for which it is late.
Testing Policy Students will have an opportunity to retest on exams the day after the exam grade has been assigned. Retests will consist of book/story summaries to be written for independently chosen short stories.
